The seminar covers selected topics from the field of real-time systems based on current scientific literature. Possible topics include real-time scheduling algorithms, timing analysis, embedded and cyber-physical systems, multicore real-time systems, real-time communication networks, safety-critical applications, verification and validation techniques, and emerging trends in real-time computing.
Each participant will work with one of the following papers that was recently published at a major conference of the real-time community.

- get a seminar topic to work on (understand paper; find, judge and summarize related work)
- 1st common meetings where each participant gives a very brief overview over the assigned topic (10 Minutes; without any aids, i.e., no slides, no notes in hand)
- about three weeks after paper selection starts
- followed by an overview over the remaining seminar proceeding
- individual meeting/s with supervisor during the semester (at least one of which will be mandatory)
- deliverables at the end of the lecture period: survey on related work (text document) and presentation (slides and / or poster)
- conference day (aka seminar presentation day, 2nd common meeting) in the lecture-free period
